There'll be no love you long time for Guild Wars fans as the sequel to the best-selling online action adventure Guild Wars 2 has been put back until 2010, and possibly even as far back as 2011.

Also being put on hold is Aion, which may be released at the end of 2009.

Developers NcSoft has suffered greatly over the past year with a drop of 40% in earnings. Could this be the writing on the wall for the company that's been churning out Korean MMOs like they're going out of fashion for the past five years? Probably not, but with a drop in earnings of that magnitude, it's clear the American company is taking a step back to regroup.
